Netplay Permissions Explained: What and Why
Every permission explained: storage, network, the install toggle, and what the app never asks for.

Every Android app asks for permissions. Here is what the Netplay streaming app requests, why each one exists, and which ones you can safely deny.
Storage
The app needs storage access for one reason: saving your downloads. Without it, offline viewing does not work. If you never download anything, you can deny it and streaming still works fine.
Network access
Streaming is the whole point, so network access is non-negotiable. This is not a permission you toggle; the app cannot function without it.
Install from browser
This is not an app permission at all; it is Android asking you to allow installs from your browser or file manager once, the standard step for any APK. Our install guide walks through it.
What Netplay does not ask for
In our testing, the app does not request contacts, location, SMS or microphone. That is a clean bill: a streaming app has no business with any of those. If a future version ever asks for something odd, deny it and tell us; we re-check permissions on every build in our review process. Either way, install only from the Netplay APK download page.
