This free streaming app for Android brings live television, movies and shows together in one place. It runs on phones, tablets and Android TV boxes, and it is designed around a single idea: press play and watch, with nothing standing between you and the content.

This is a refinement release. The home screen was redesigned so trending titles, live channels and your continue-watching row all sit on one scroll instead of three tabs.

Under the hood, the video engine starts streams faster and recovers from network drops more gracefully. Our test on a mid-range phone showed noticeably quicker cold starts compared to the previous build, and channel switching in the live section feels close to instant on Wi-Fi.

The download manager also got attention: queued downloads now pause and resume cleanly when you leave and rejoin Wi-Fi, instead of restarting from zero.

Installing the app takes about a minute. Android asks for one permission along the way, and that is normal for any app installed outside the Play Store.

Every file in our library passes the same safety check before the download button goes live. This build was scanned with multiple antivirus engines, and the file signature was verified against the original release. No modified code, no injected ads, no hidden trackers.

On the phone, the app asks only for the permissions it genuinely needs: network access for streaming and storage access if you choose to download titles for offline viewing. It does not request access to your contacts, messages or call logs. You can review and revoke any permission from Android Settings at any time.

When a new release appears, you do not need to uninstall anything. Download the newer file from our Netplay APK download page and install it right over the old version. Android keeps your watchlist, settings and login session intact.

If the installer warns that you are updating an existing app, that is the normal system prompt for sideloaded updates. Confirm it, and the new version replaces the old one in under a minute. Your downloaded offline titles stay on the device.

A good habit is to check the current version number inside the app under Settings, then compare it with the version shown on this page. If they match, you are up to date and there is nothing more to do.

Video keeps buffering. Drop the playback quality one step in the player settings, or switch from mobile data to Wi-Fi. The app adapts automatically, but locking a lower quality manually stops the stutter on weak connections.

App crashes on launch. Clear the app cache from Android Settings, then reopen it. If it still crashes, the install may be incomplete. If so, re-download the install file and install it fresh. The file is only 24.7 MB, so this takes a moment.

Install blocked by the system. Android blocks unknown sources by default. Open Settings, allow installs from your browser or file manager, then tap the APK again. This one-time permission is the standard path for every app installed outside the Play Store.

Login session expired. Sign out and sign back in from the profile menu. Sessions expire for security after long idle periods, and a fresh login restores your watchlist instantly.

The app streams in up to 1080p on supported titles, with automatic quality switching that follows your connection speed. On a stable Wi-Fi network you get the full HD picture; on mobile data it steps down gracefully instead of freezing.

An hour of HD streaming uses roughly 1 to 1.5 GB of data, while the data-saver mode cuts that to about 0.4 GB per hour. If your plan is limited, download episodes over Wi-Fi first and watch offline. Offline playback uses zero mobile data.

For the smoothest picture on a TV, cast from the phone app or install the build on an Android TV box. The interface scales to the big screen, and the remote-friendly layout keeps browsing comfortable from the couch.
